Be Prepared for Seasickness

You never know when the movement of the boat is going to send your nausea into overdrive. The best way to prepare for seasickness, is to bring alone some medication for motion sickness. Stop by the pharmacy for some over-the-counter seasickness relief. It's also a good idea to pack some moist towelettes in your pocket. They'll allow you to wipe your hands, and mouth, if you happen to get sick.

Waterproof Your Camera

You may never get another opportunity to see wild dolphins up-close. Make sure you're prepared capture the moment by having your camera with you. Since you will be on the ocean, and dolphins do have a tendency to splash, you should waterproof your camera before you head out. Simply place your camera in a resealable plastic bag. Seal all but a small corner of the bag, and carefully squeeze it to remove as much of the air as possible. Seal the rest of the bag. Your camera is now protected against water damage.

Dress in Layers

You never know when the weather is going to change when you're out on the ocean. Regardless of how the weather is when you leave for your tour, make sure you're dressed in layers. Wearing a short-sleeved shirt under a light sweater, will allow you to remove layers as the weather changes throughout the day. It's also a good idea to bring a medium-weight rain jacket along. You can wrap the jacket around your waist until you need it.
